| Anne Marie Cobry DiCosola (Ph.D., archaeology) has been busy the last year. In September, she was elected Director of the Anthropology Graduate Student Association, with Bryan Carlo as Co-Director. In January, her coauthored chapter with Dr. Donna Roper was published in Geochemical Evidence for Long Distance Exchange. This spring she conducted an analysis of ceramics from the Keesburg-Schaudt site in Randolph County for a technical report. This summer she directed the Southern Illinois University Field School at two Late Woodland stone fort sites, Millstone Bluff and Hog Bluff. Anne will use the data collected from these two sites for her dissertation. She hopes to continue the research at two more stone forts with the field school next summer. |
