Fashion Design & Merchandising Scholarships

The Fashion Design and
Merchandising program has several scholarships awarded to needy and worthy
students. Scholarships are offered to sophomores through seniors, majors in
Fashion Design and Merchandising or Home Economics related fields, and to
students who demonstrate superior levels of achievement and potential for
success. Scholarships awarded during Honors Day ceremonies include:

Minnie Mae Pitkin Memorial
Scholarship - An annual scholarship awarded to junior, senior, or
graduate students in traditional Home Economics fields who demonstrated
superior levels of achievement and potential for success.

Jean S. Rendleman Home
Economics Scholarship - A scholarship awarded to a second-term
sophomore, majoring or registered in Home Economics who has demonstrated
her academic potential and shows an indication of need.

Sue Ridley Fashion Design and
Merchandising Award - An annual scholarship awarded to a second-term
junior majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising, demonstrates
superior levels of achievement, potential for success, shows outstanding
scholarship and leadership, and a member of the Fashion Design and
Merchandising Organization.

College of Applied Sciences & Arts New
Student in Fashion Design and Merchandising - An annual award
sponsored by the College of Applied Sciences and Arts. This award
is a waiver of up to $600 against tuition charges. The award
amount varies each year. Only new students in the Fashion Design &
Merchandising programs are eligible. Application information is
sent to all incoming FDM students with return of required materials by
