Component Donations to AutoTech Program
 
 

DaimlerChrysler Corporation and friends donated several Mercedes Benz and Chrysler powertrain components. The value of these units totaled $28,600.

Chris Micha, Manager, Quality Engineering Services (1984 automotive graduate) with DaimlerChrysler Corporation, was instrumental in the donation of 2 prototype vehicle analysis and diagnostic tools for validation. A Tone Wheel Tester and a Wireless Chassis Ear system are valued at $1000.

Lee Raines, Southeast Regional District Parts and Service Manager (1986 automotive graduate) with American Suzuki Motor Corporation was instrumental in the donation of several powertrain components with a value of $11,600.

Tim Jones, Training Center Manager with American Honda Motor Corporation, was instrumental in the donation of several powertrain components with a value of $42,000.

Larry Turay, Trainer/developer (70’s automotive graduate) with Standard Products was instrumental in securing the donation of vehicle air conditioning flushing equipment and electronic sensor simulators valued at $4400.

The support to the program from its friends, alumni, and corporations are essential in maintaining the quality and reputation of the department, ensuring that our students are receiving the most up-to-date training possible.
