Jorge Rebellon, Technical Engineer Midwest/Mexico Region for Jaguar Cars North America (1994 Automotive graduate), visited the Carterville campus and presented to several classes on the numerous opportunities available to students upon graduation and the technological features on the 2005 Jaguar XKR Convertible ($103,195 MSRP). Some of the Jaguar technology presented included:
• Eaton supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine with twin intercoolers
• Electronic throttle control
• The Adaptive Restraint Technology System (A.R.T.S.) which can
determine which safety systems to activate and, when applicable, the airbag
energy levels most appropriate
• High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with dynamic leveling
• Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
• Enhanced Computer Active Technology Suspension (ECATS)
