Academic Programs for Bilingual Educators

The Department of Linguistics and the College of Education's Teacher Education Program (TEP) offer various routes to gaining the necessary credentials to become a certified bilingual teacher and/or teacher of English as a Second Language in the State of Illinois. As of January 2005, four specialized programs exist for bilingual educators in Southern Illinois.
