1.       T-shirts (Andy)

a.       Found a design – an eye chart with IPA characters

i.      Copyrighted

ii.      Andy will photoshop it to have foreign characters

2.       Website (Charese)

a.       Handed out forms for website profiles

i.      Link to your website encouraged

b.      Please send pictures

3.       Unity Point elementary school volunteers needed (Lou)

a.       They have many children who need help

i.      Teaching ESL children skills M-F 9:00-9:50AM

ii.      Teaching ESL children skills and helping with homework M-F 1:30PM-3:05PM

iii.      Any help is appreciated because right now they have none

b.      Transportation

i.      Lou will be going and can carpool Wednesday mornings and Friday 2-5PM

ii.      Route 6 Saluki Bus goes there, stops at the Student Center

c.       Good for resume, especially non-native speakers who can’t teach in CESL here

4.       TESOL Seattle (Cheryl)

a.       March 21-24

b.      Cost

i.      $105 without membership

1.       Registering earlier is cheaper, deadline is soon

2.       Free TESOL student membership to students who submit three activities to the TESOL Teaching Resource Center

ii.      Cheryl can tell you how to eat for free at TESOL

iii.      Hotels are expensive during the conference, four people per room?

4.       48 hours notice to cancel

1.       Docked 10% for each person less than the 10 minimum

2.       Docked 10% for every 15 minutes someone is late

3.       We pay them if we no-show

iv.      Reward

1.       $200 or a percentage of sales, whichever is higher

2.       Andy – last year they made about $350

a.       Laura wants to run small sessions, will discuss at a later meeting
