| The purpose of our chapter is to
be the local face of the American Civil Liberties Union in southern
Illinois. We welcome anyone interested in talking about civil
liberties and civil rights issues to join our chapter or to attend our
educational forums.
Our group is comprised of people from all walks of life, including members of the Southern Illinois University community, lifelong residents of southern Illinois communities, and students at the University. But we're always on the look-out for people who want to help promote the ideals of the ACLU. So if you are interested in becoming involved in the local chapter, please send an email to either si_aclu@yahoo.com or member_si_aclu@yahoo.com. One of our board members will contact you as soon as possible. Our chapter has a permanent web presence in the form of a discussion board and email listserv.
