Speed Agility Quickness (13-18 yrs.)
Speed Agility and Quickness Camp (SAQ) is a co-ed camp for all athletes who are looking to improve speed, agility and quickness to enhance their overall sports performance.
Each session will focus on a different aspect such as: Dynamic Flexibility, Running Mechanics, Resisted Sprinting, Agility Drills, Plyometrics and CORE Strengthening.
- Instruction provided by qualified, certified, experienced staff.
- Campers use State-of-the-Art facilities and equipment.
Multi-Sports Camps (8-12 yrs.)
This summer the Multi-Sport Camp will focus on Health and Fitness. Campers will participate in a fun session on how to "fuel your body" for activity presented by students studying nutrition. There will also be activities aimed at speed, strength and flexibility presented b certified staff. Julio Barrenzuela, the "Salsa Ambassador of Illinois" will introduce campers to Salsa Dancing and a member of the SIU Diving Team staff will be present during daily swim time to introduce campers to spring board diving. We will still be going Bowling and Fishing and have our day at the Lake on Campus! Two snacks and drinks provided. Campers must bring their own sack lunch daily.
Tennis Camps (8-12 yrs.)
The popularity of our Tennis Camp continues to grow! Our highly-skilled instructors, Larry Geer and Ken “Fog” Gilbert, will give quality instruction to children at all levels of experience. Daily activities include skill development in all areas through drills and games and swimming at the Student Recreation Center. Tennis racquets are available for camper usage upon request. Tennis balls, two snacks and drinks are provided. Campers must bring their own sack lunch daily.

Theater Camps (8-12 yrs.)
Expose your child(ren) to the magic, wonder and creativity of the theater. In collaboration with the SIUC Theater Department, we offer this introduction to a broad range of theatrical riches including but not limited to improvisational games, make-up and costumes and stage/set building. Our curriculum is intended to teach the mechanics of performing and production. Campers will receive a broad understanding of the world of theater. Each camp ends with an original performance by the children to showcase their newly found love and appreciation for theater. Parents are invited to attend. The daily schedule includes morning and afternoon activity sessions, two snacks, and swimming at the Student Recreation Center indoor pool. Campers must bring their own sack lunch daily.
Advanced Tennis (13-18 yrs.)
Taught by our qualified, experienced staff with state of the art equipment and facilities our co-ed advanced tennis focuses on tennis skills and drills in the morning with a break for lunch and a swim at the Rec Center followed by strength and conditioning training in the air conditioned Rec Center. Strength and conditioning training is led by certified trainers and instructor Larry Greer oversees your Tennis training. |
