Full Day & Specialty Camps   |   Partial Day Programs   |   Youth Swimming

WELCOME! Welcome! Plans for our 23rd summer of providing quality youth programs are well under way. As always, we strive to offer something new and exciting to enhance the camper’s experience. This summer the Multi-Sport Camp will focus on Health and Fitness. Campers will participate in a fun session on how to “fuel your body” for activity presented by students studying nutrition. There will also be activities aimed at speed, strength and flexibility presented by certified staff. Julio Barrenzuela, the “Salsa Ambassador of Illinois” will introduce campers to Salsa Dancing and a member of the SIU Diving Team staff will be present during daily swim time to introduce campers to spring board diving. We will still be going Bowling and Fishing and have our day at the Lake on Campus! Tennis and Theater campers will also enjoy swimming daily at the Rec Center’s Olympic size indoor pool.

For the older youth (13-18) looking to improve sport performance, the Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) camp will meet their needs. NEW this year is an Advanced Tennis + Strength & Conditioning camp for 13-18 year olds featuring mornings on the courts with tennis lessons from pro, Larry Geer, lunch and swimming, and strength/conditioning training provided by certified trainers in the afternoons at the Rec.
