Training in Behavior Analysis for  Undergraduates

Why Pursue Concentrated  Training in Behavior Analysis?

College graduates with advanced training in behavior analysis are finding jobs in exciting areas of rehabilitation throughout the United States.  Moreover, graduates who complete the Rehabilitation Institute’s concentrated training will be eligible to sit for the national Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Associate’s Level Examination, and will find enhanced career opportunities within the field. This training is also an excellent way for undergraduates to prepare for graduate level education in behavior analysis.

The Coursework

A series of three courses are required:

REHB 406: Applied Behavior Analysis  OR PSY 411:  Principles of Training
These classes provide the student with the foundations of behavior analysis.

REHB 493:  Clinical Evaluation
This class provides an in-depth understanding of clinical evaluation procedures.

REHB 535:  Behavioral Observation Methods*
This class showcases various methods of behavioral assessment and intervention.
*course is available for credit at either the graduate or undergraduate level

Hands on Training

What is even more exciting than the courses is the opportunity to apply class room skills to real world clinical settings.  Students participating in this concentration will enroll in twelve credits of an internship supervised by a practicing behavior analyst.

REHB 495: Internship (9 credits)

What Else Should I Know?

A minimum GPA of 3.0 in the student’s respective major of study is required for enrollment.  Grades of at least Bs in required courses are required for continued participation.
