Welcome to the SIUC Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association's (NSSLHA) web page! We want to invite you to join our organization and get to know some other students in your major.

The SIUC Chapter of NSSLHA currently has approximately 60-80 undergraduate and graduate students. Most members are enrolled in the Communication Disorders Program (Rehabilitation Institute), but any interested students are invited to join.

We usually have meetings one time per month. The meetings are typically 1 hour in length and are held in Communications 1007. Various activities occur at our meetings such as informational/social meetings, guest speakers, panel discussions, etc. Food such as pizza or submarine sandwiches is provided by NSSLHA and door prizes are usually given away at each meeting.

The National NSSLHA organization was founded in 1972.  National NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.  National NSSLHA has approximately 18,000 members with chapters in more than 285 colleges & universities.   For more information about National NSSLHA, visit their website at:  www.NSSLHA.org.
