My experience as an undergraduate Socialwork student has

been worthwhile. The professors in the department have shown

genuine concern for my academic success. The curriculum has

allowed me to grow and develop as a researcher, policy analyzer,

and Socialwork practitioner.

My undergraduate experience has been phenomenal. I have yet to

be dissatisfied with any of my professors in the School of

Socialwork. All that i have come across have been helpful to me

and have shown me that they are very knowledgable to answer

myquestions and teach me effectively.

My Experience at SIUC has been one that has changed my life and

opened avenues that i once thought was closed for good.I came two

years ago scared and unsure of myself and my future .But with time,

patient professors, and commitment, i am no longer scared and

unsure. I look forward to the future with hope and a confidence

beyond belief and i am ready to pay it forward.

I like SIUC because it makes it easy to be a commuter student. The

schedule makes it easy to balance my classes, work and familiy

responsibilities. I would recommend SIUC to graduating seniors or

the returining adult student wanting to start or finish their

undergraduate or graduate degree.

Going through the Southern Illinois University social work program

has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I love the set up of the

program, in the fact that it prepares each student for a generalist type

practice. My personal interactions with all program faculty and staff

has been one of the most impressionable things that I will take away

with me.Every professor has shown a special interest in all of their

students, and i truly feel cared about by every individual i have come

in contact with.
