Dear Students and Participants

Welcome to the Study Abroad India program sponsored by SIUC School of Social Work along with Mandel School of Applied Sciences, Case Western Reserve University!
In today's global economy, the Study Abroad India program will provide a very exciting opportunity to develop an international perspective on social development issues. At the SIUC School of Social Work, we are committed to creating world-wide opportunities for students and communities at large. Students from a number of universities across the U.S. will join us in the Study Abroad program, providing a unique forum for interacting with each other and sharing in each other's cultures, knowledge, and interests.

The Study Abroad India program provides a lifetime opportunity for social science enthusiasts and human service students to study the innovative approaches to social development in India by learning about poverty alleviation, non-formal education, womens issues, HIV-AIDS, multicultural aspects of healthcare, international adoption, and application of information communication technologies in addressing social problems.
We have linked up with prestigious social sciences institutions in India to provide you with the best possible educational and cultural experience. The trip has been designed to maintain a superb balance between learning and recreation, offering you with an in-depth understanding of India.

Congratulations on taking this first adventurous step toward exploring all of the wonderful opportunities that Study Abroad India has to offer.
