A new platform --Former U.S. Senator Paul Simon this month began his new job teaching political science and journalism on Southern Illinois University's Carbondale campus. Simon sprinkled his first lectures on Jan. 14 with reflections on his life in Congress. His two classes for spring semester are filled to capacity.
