On April 16, 1998, bargaining teams representing the SIUC Faculty Association and the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University jointly agreed to a Federal Mediator's request for a total media blackout on collective bargaining negotiations. The parties may, from time to time, issue joint press releases.
