You're
nearly there!
You've been working long and hard to complete a didactic program in
dietetics. You know you want to be a dietitian, but now you need to
figure out which dietetic internship program is best for you.
Are your primary interests as a health professional to promote health
and prevent disease? Do you want to complete a master's degree program?
If "yes", then SIU may be a great match!

Graduates of
our combined master's degree and dietetic internship program find jobs in
all areas of dietetics: community nutrition, clinical, and foodservice
management. Please note that our coursework and internship emphasize
community nutrition. So if you love providing nutrition education to
individuals or groups, or if you picture yourself working in public health
nutrition settings, SIU's program may be what you're looking for.
I
encourage you to call, or e-mail me with your questions. If you want to schedule
a visit with me here at SIU, I'll be delighted to meet you and provide answers
in person.
Our students are interesting and varied. They have come from many
different states and countries: Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky,
New Mexico, Hawaii, Ohio, Florida, Africa, Canada, and Greece, to name a
few. If you want to contact current or past students, just let me know,
and I will arrange it.
Good luck
with your search!
Sincerely,
Dawn Bloyd Null,
