Verification Statements (which allow students to take the examination to become registered dietitians) are issued after all program criteria have been completed. The criteria include successful completion of the following:
  • coursework
  • a thesis or research paper and oral defense thereof
  • supervised practice experiences-aka dietetic internship or rotations
  • proof of adequate study for the RD examination
