INFERENTIAL STATISTICS

    This is an introductory course in descriptive and inferential statistics. The course will focus on statistics as they are applied by researchers in many disciplines. Prerequisite for this course EPSY 402 or equivalent, we will be using simple algebra to develop statistical concepts.

 

Goals for the course:

To enable EACH student to:

1. Compute, understand and interpret basic descriptive and inferential statistics.

2. Understand statistical logic and the assumptions underlying procedures

3. Read, understand, interpret and critique published empirical research in your major field of interest.

 

Course is graded on:

Problem assignments which will be evaluated and returned.

Tests: You will be able to use your CALCULATOR.

Final Examination

 

 

    You will be introduced to Excel and the SPSS statistical program in order to execute a few statistical analyses.
