
Dr. Partridge has been an assistant professor of sport & exercise psychology at SIUC since 2004. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Kansas State University, an M.A. in Sport Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in Social Psychological Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to coming to Carbondale, she was a full-time faculty member at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her teaching duties include Motor Development, Theoretical Sport Psychology, Applied Sport Psychology, Psychology of Injury, and Exercise Psychology. Her research examines shame coping as an emotional response in sport and exercise, and social influence in sport (such as parents, peers, siblings, and coaches).
