The Concentrated Rehabilitation Training Program (CRTP) began in 1974 at SIUC's Rehabilitation Institute is an innovative and nontraditional approach to graduate training in rehabilitation administration, management, and supervision. CRTP makes it possible for practitioners in the field to upgrade and expand their expertise without leaving their jobs. The major goal of this program is to develop graduates who are practical, competent rehabilitation professionals through its applied and action-oriented curriculum.

CRTP is especially designed for any rehabilitation professional wishing a master's degree. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree, and be able to meet the admissions requirements for the SIU Graduate School and the RA&S program. Students who wish to take classes but not pursue a degree may do so through our certificate programs in Rehabilitation Supervision and Rehabilitation Management.Concentrated Courses All courses in the CRTP will be offered On-Line. Each concentrated course covers a period of 16 weeks.

  1. initial period of independent study;
  2. one--three-day weekend sessions of concentrated classroom activity (minimum of 45 classroom hours);
  3. on-line extended class work; and
  4. an individual project related to content and course objectives.
Efforts are made to relate course content to the professional needs of individuals in the program. Write or call (618 453-8293) for further information on CRTP, or send e-mail to crimando@siu.edu
