Dr. Taylor's pictureDr. Taylor is an Associate Professor in the Rehabilitation Administration and Services Program. He earned a doctorate from the University of South Florida in 1992. Prior to coming to SIUC, he worked as a rehabilitation specialist in the private sector and as a vocational evaluator in a work hardening program serving injured workers. Dr. Taylor is the author of 35 journal articles and 35 paper presentations. Dr. Taylor's research interests relate to vocational evaluator job task and function identification and vocational evaluation curricula design within rehabilitation education. He has served as President of the Illinois Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association and is a Certified Vocational Evaluator and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Dr. Taylor serves on the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Education and the Certification of Insurance Rehabilitation Specialists Commission. He is also Assistant Editor for the Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Bulletin and a board member of the Southern Illinois Center for Independent Living.
