Professor Burnside (Ph.D., University of New Orleans 2004) joined the Department in Fall 2005. He teaches courses in American politics and American institutions and political behavior. His current research focuses on the role of religion in politics, minority political behavior and disaster behavior. His most recent publication appears in the Journal of Public Management and Social Policy.
