
The Semester in Wales program begins with an interdisciplinary three-week course on British life and culture, after which students will enroll in regular courses offered by the university. Particular emphasis is placed on the regional distinctiveness of Wales as part of the United Kingdom. Students typically receive 4 credits for the initial three-week course and 12 credits for coursework for a total of 16 credits. The seven teaching facilities at the University of Swansea provide a wide variety of courses.
