Senior Staff Descriptions

Jaime Clark, Ph.D.

Education:

Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, University of Denver

Professional Interests:

While I like working with a diverse caseload of clients presenting with a variety of issues, I am particularly interested in working with clients recovering from trauma, interpersonal relationship difficulties, eating disorders, and chronic mental health difficulties.  I also have research, assessment, and clinical experience working with student-athletes and students who have ADHD or learning difficulties.  I like to look at each individual through a multicultural lens, taking into consideration their unique experience and culture in order to increase my understanding of their circumstance.  I draw from a number of theoretical interventions and perspectives, but tend to draw heavily from Interpersonal Process theories and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Personal Interests:

My other interests include anything that involves playing or watching sports.  I love playing tennis and basketball or tracking my fantasy football players.  I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies, reading a good book, and eating good food.

Holly Cormier , Ph.D.

Education:

Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, University of Toronto

Professional Interests:

While I enjoy working with a number of various clinical issues, I have a specific interest in areas related to women's mental health and well being. I have both research and clinical experience in the area of disordered eating. Other clinical experience includes work in areas related to trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also enjoy working with individuals who struggle with more chronic mental health difficulties, addressing both barriers to, and opportunities for, improved well being. Stigma and oppression can be an important part of people's experiences of themselves and the world. I work hard to attend to these issues in session, paying attention to the complexity of each client's experience and context. I embrace philosophies from a number of different school of thought, but I am most especially influenced by feminist and psychodynamic theory.

Other interests:

Other interests include anything that takes me outdoors! I love walking and hiking all year round. I also love skiing, skating and a good snowball fight. When I am not playing outside, I love old movies, good books, wine and gourmet food-although I prefer not to have to cook it.

Don Mullison, Ph.D.

Senior Staff Psychologist/Practicum Coordinator

Education:

Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, University of Utah

Professional Interests:

I do a lot of work with clients struggling with relationship issues (e.g., with family, partners, friends, roommates, or people they work with). I see a large number of "survivors", defined broadly to include adult children of alcoholics, physical and/or emotional abuse survivors, and incest survivors-essentially clients from a wide variety of dysfunctional families. While I do a great deal of individual work, I also very much enjoy working with couples and groups. Finally, I enjoy working with students from a variety of diverse backgrounds including racial/ethnic minorities, GLB, and international students.

Other interests:

I am an avid bicycle rider, both road and off road. I very much enjoy the trails, forests, and lakes of the area's Shawnee National Forest. I particularly enjoy seeing the birds, mammals, and rich plant life to be found there. Nothing adds more to the above than being able to share it with family or good friends. Finally, I very much enjoy a good book in front of the fireplace on a cold winter day.
