The Making of Nigerian Video Films, Thirsty Earth, Shadow of Doubt and Disposable People:

For the shooting of our documentary VIDEOMONEY (The Making of Nigerian Video Films) late October/early November 2002 in Enugu, we enjoyed your hospitality and big organizational skills.

Let me thank you once again for your help, your most effective support of our work and your never-ending energy promoting our film even in moments when the project was on razor’s edge.

You did more than I could have ever expected and it was for my team and myself an exiting experience and a lot of fun too in a most inspiring and creative atmosphere.

VIDEOMONEY, which is a joint venture of several European TV broadcasters, had been finished only recently and will now be screened via satellite European-wide.

The US-American broadcaster, Discovery Channel, will distribute it in the US and possibly worldwide.
On our second project with you, THE THIRSTY EARTH - WATER MANAGEMENT IN LAGOS MEGA CITY, my editor at Deutsche Welle is very happy about the materials we brought back. Besides the locations, he appreciates our professional skills concerning the materials’ flexibility (he can tell many stories and can cut them just as he likes). So this is another success story, and again, I’d never done it without you. I like your spirit and I’m really glad I met you. And now it is his turn to beat us in Mexico-City. He won’t. Nobody beats us.

Hoping for further cooperative projects with you in near future.

Yours sincerely,

Matthias Heeder
