Anth 202: America's Diverse Cultures

My dissertation research takes a broad approach to understanding economic change by recognizing the ways in which ethnicity and history influence, and are influenced by economic practice.Within this frame, I aim to understand how individual and community conceptions of identity inform economic practices and similarly, how localized communities adapt to the changes brought forth by regional development. My goal is to understand the ways in which traditional economic activities and the associated organizational structures influence economic change.
