The Architectural Studies program at SIUC offers the opportunity for students to participate in an in situ study of classic to current architecture and culture of England, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and Greece.  The trip always starts the day after graduation and lasts approximately five weeks.

Follow the journey of the students as they progress through Europe! The most recent trip took place from May 13 to June 10, 2006.  The next trip is scheduled for summer 2007.  Students who participated in the trip have downloaded images and text of their travels on their own web site, arctour.

Cuban Travel Studies Program
A Twelve-Day Trip Offered During Christmas Break

Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to one of the few Socialist countries left in the world on a 12-day educational adventure.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in people-to-people exchanges and learn about planning, historic preservation, sustainable development, and architecture.  Cuba is one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in the world, with 500 years of history and heritage.  It is home to one of the largest intact collections of Spanish Colonial architecture and the largest collection of Soviet-era prefabricated buildings.

Course credit is available.  For more information, contact Jon Daniel Davey, Program Director of Interior Design.  This trip is being offered in collaboration with Professor John I. Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville and Cubanow.org.
