Welcome to SIUC Bachelor of Science degree program in Health Care Management at Eglin Air Force Base. The information below is necessary to your success in the program.

Classroom:

Eglin’s Base Hospital Education and Training Building, Bldg 2830. Classes are normally held on alternating weekends from 8:00 AM to approximately 4:50 PM.

2. Tuition Payments

I will collect tuition payments at the beginning of each registration and on the first day of each new course. Make your check or money order payable to SIUC. Do not mail payments to main campus! I will have no record of your payment. Credit card payments can be made in my
office only.

3. Transcripts

If you have attended other colleges we require you to submit official transcripts to the mailing address listed above in item 1. Please do not have them sent to your residence.

4. Class Attendance

Class attendance is of the utmost importance. Each day is divided into two class sessions, morning and afternoon. Be sure to sign the attendance sheet each session on Saturday and Sunday. If you must miss any portion of any class session it is imperative you let your instructor know ahead of time. It is up to you to make arrangements to obtain information/material you missed while away.

5. Drops

In case you need to drop a class, it is essential that you inform the program advisor immediately. If an emergency arises, leave a voicemail message at (850) 678-8533. Failure to inform the
office may result in you being liable for payment of that class. You have until the Friday before the second weekend of class to drop without any financial obligations.

6. Directions:

Driving from Pensacola:

Head east on HWY 98 for about 28 miles until you reach Fort Walton Beach. Continue east on HWY 98 and you will pass Red Lobster and Olive Garden on your right. You’ll drive through the tourist part of Fort Walton Beach. At the last stop light before Brooks Bridge make a left onto Eglin Parkway. Continue north on Eglin Parkway for about 8 to 10 miles. You will pass over two bridges and through an area called Shalimar. Keep driving north on Eglin Parkway until you arrive at the stop light directly before Eglin AFB west gate. Make a right at the light to enter through the hospital gate.

Driving from Panama City:

Head west on HWY 98 for approximately 98 miles towards Fort Walton Beach. After you cross the Brooks Bridge make the first right onto Eglin Parkway. Continue north on Eglin Parkway for about 8 to 10 miles. You will pass over two bridges and through an area called Shalimar. Keep driving north on Eglin Parkway until you arrive at the stop light directly before Eglin AFB west gate. Make a right at the light to enter through the hospital gate.

Directions to the classroom from the hospital gate:

After you enter the hospital gate make the first right on to Boatner Rd.  Follow the road past two right turn offs (you will be driving by the hospital on your right).  Make a right at the third turn (the end of the hospital).  You will see a sign at the turn off for the Tricare office.   Drive straight until you come to the fourth building on the left (building 2830).  Building 2830 is your classroom.  The side walk approaching building 2830 will lead you straight in front of the appropriate door to enter.

7. Lodging:

For individuals seeking on-base billeting can call Eglin’s lodging front desk at (850) 882-4534. Rooms can only be reserved to personnel not on official orders by “Space Available”.
