Policies and Procedures for Military Programs Attendance Attendance is imperative. Students should make every effort to attend all class sessions for the full time that classes are in session. In a circumstance when a student will not be able to attend due to a work schedule conflict, the student must discuss the problem with the instructor immediately. Under no circumstance may a student miss more than two days of instruction. Students who will be unable to meet the attendance requirement must withdraw from the course through their base office. Failure to complete the withdrawal process will result in a grade of F or WF. Program Changes Students who find it necessary to make program changes to their registration must process a registration form, authorized by their program representative, to add/or drop courses. This process starts with the program representative and is completed by the Office of Admissions & Records. Withdrawals Students who decide not to attend after registration must officially withdraw or be liable for payment of semester hour charges. Students who officially register for a session may not withdraw merely by discontinuing attendance. Students officially withdraw from courses through the program change process, using the registration form. This process starts with the program representative and is completed by the Office of Admissions and Records. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the withdrawal process is officially completed. Students who stop attending, but do not officially withdraw will be assigned a grade of “WF” (failure). Check the class schedule for the official add/drop dates. Dean’s List To be recognized as being on the dean’s list a student must have been in attendance full time (12 semester hours) and must have earned a GPA of 3.40 or higher. Dean’s List is recognition for a particular semester and does not take into consideration the student’s complete record. Student ID Cards Student ID cards will be issued to students who request them. Students must complete the application form and provide the SIUC office with a picture to be used on the ID card. The current cost of an ID card is $10.00.
