We are a group of students in Carbondale working for the cause of Asha for Education. Our main work is to raise funds for the cause by organizing various fundraisers. We started in August 2000. Since then we have organized an Asha Fun-day in October 2000 where we had various activities and fun events, had table set up for Asha merchandise in International Bazaar in Student Center in February, were involved in the Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Show in St. Louis and the 15th August Independence celebration here in Carbondale. We are an extension of the St. Louis branch and try to work in unison with them for the cause of Asha.
