Special Thanks

Our club would not be possible without many very important, creative and enthusiastic people. Every club member contributes to the club's success and everyone learns and teaches, however special appreciation must be given to Dr. Alan Kim and Dale Budslick and Greg and Pat White for their instruction and generosity. All four of you have made gracious and instrumental contributions to the club.

Dr. Peter Carroll also deserves our grattitude for his time. He is our faculty advisor and resident Australian. Pete teaches the Ballroom Dance class that is offered by SIU every Summer and Fall (PE 103B). If you're interested in dance and want to learn how to handle yourself on the dance floor, this is a wonderful class, and he's a wonderful instructor.

Steve and Linda Ober danced competitively for years, before stepping in and giving the club a make-over a few years back. They are our primary instructors and incredibly patient and articulate people to work with. They have an outstanding dedication to the club and the promotion of ballroom dance in general. Last year Steve and Linda trained club members for the Dance Expresso demonstration, the U of I competition and organized the trip to Florida. Special thanks to both of you for your constant assistance and leadership.
