Dual Language or Two Way Immersion bilingual education is a program in which both English language learners and English speakers receive instruction in two languages throughout elementary and sometimes middle school.

Dual language programs are essentially two programs in one: maintenance bilingual education for English language learners and second/foreign language immersion for English speakers.

This kind of bilingual education is, by far, considered to be the most effective in meeting the three goals and is for all children.
