Illinois Delta Network

Illinois Delta NetworkThe Center for Rural Health and Social Service Development (CRHSSD), as the lead agency in partnership with the Illinois Delta Network (IDN), a statewide coalition of 10 health and social service agencies, has just released funding for the fifth year of funding from the Delta State Rural Development Network Program (DSRDN) grant of $393,488 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration.


The award is part of a six-year federal initiative to improve access to primary health care in 205 counties and parishes within the eight-state Mississippi Delta Region.

The 16 Illinois counties that qualify for this funding are Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Union, White, and Williamson.

The primary role of the CRHSSD is to coordinate the overall project and to provide training and technical support.
