Illinois Delta Network
The
Center for Rural Health and Social Service Development (CRHSSD), as the lead
agency in partnership with the Illinois Delta Network (IDN), a statewide
coalition of 10 health and social service agencies, has just released funding
for the fifth year of funding from the Delta State Rural Development Network
Program (DSRDN) grant of $393,488 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration.
The award is part of a
six-year federal initiative to improve access to primary health care in 205
counties and parishes within the eight-state Mississippi Delta Region.
The 16 Illinois counties that qualify for this funding are Alexander, Franklin,
Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski,
Randolph, Saline, Union, White, and Williamson.
The primary role of the CRHSSD is to coordinate the overall project and to
provide training and technical support.
