  A new publication of interest to economic botanists has appeared. Called "People and Plants," this handbook has as its goal the "sharing of advice among friends and colleagues throughout the world who are seeking to acheive sound management of biological resources while contributing to biodiversity conservation and community development." The premier issue of this handbook focuses on International Programs, Professional Societies, Networks, Resource Centers, Journals and Newsletters. A free copy of this valuable publication can be obtained by writing one of the editors, Gary J.
