County Greenways and Trails Planning Task Force will hold an “Open House”
Public Information Meeting concerning the development of bicycle and
pedestrian pathways that will connect multiple communities and points
of interest within the County.
The
Jackson County Greenways and Trails Task Force is conducting planning
for the establishment of non-motorized, multiple-use trails, including
some associated greenways, within Jackson County.
These pathways will be for bicycle and pedestrian traffic only
with the focus of connecting communities and points of interest within
the County. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this
informal open house meeting anytime between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Representatives of the Jackson County Greenways
and Trails Task Force will be available to discuss the project and answer
questions. Interested persons
will have the opportunity to make written comments at the meeting.
The
open house will commence at 5:00 PM with Task Force representatives
on hand to informally answer questions and record comments offered by
those in attendance. Preliminary reports, drawings, maps, and aerial
photography will be available for inspection and viewing during the
entire time the Task Force representatives are present. This same material currently is available for
review and inspection at the Office of Economic and Regional Development
in Carbondale. If you are unable
to attend the meeting as scheduled and wish to submit comments, please
complete and send in the attached comment sheet.
The
meeting will be accessible to handicapped individuals.
