Resolution of Appreciation for Faculty Who Served on the
Chancellor's Search Committee on Behalf of the Faculty Senate

WHEREAS the work of the Chancellor's Search Committee required members to devote enormous time and energy; and

WHEREAS faculty who served on the Chancellor's Search Committee represented the interests of Southern Illinois University Carbondale constituencies; and

WHEREAS they did so in a professional and collegial manner; and

WHEREAS their efforts resulted in identifying qualified candidates for consideration;

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Faculty Senate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale expresses its sincere gratitude to Jill Adams for chairing the search committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Faculty Senate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale expresses its appreciation to Laura Murphy, Irma Odell, and Robert Weiss for their membership on the committee on behalf of the Faculty Senate.
