1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov beginning January 1, 2008.
2. You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) Acknowledgement Form as a result of completing the FAFSA. Review for accuracy and contact us for correction procedures.
3. The SIUC Financial Aid Office will prepare your electronic Financial Aid Award Letter and notify you when it is available on Salukinet.
4. Review your electronic Financial Aid Award Letter on SalukiNet and Accept or Reject the awards as indicated.

5. If you did not qualify for enough financial aid to meet your needs, you might consider:
   • Student Employment
   • PLUS Loan
   • Alternative Loan
   • You may request a Revision of Aid Offered. (Form will be available after April 1, 2008)
     (Please print, complete, and submit the Revision form. )
