Meet the Resource Center's new Advisory Board Chair David Rush is the newly elected Chair of the Resource Center’s Advisory Board. The Board is a group of SIUC Faculty, Staff, Students, and Friends whose mission is to help grow the organization and serve as additional resource. David is head of the playwriting program at SIUC; he is an active playwright himself, with many productions and awards to his resume. He is a member of Stage Left Theater Company, a theater based in Chicago whose mission is to produce plays that raise the level of political debate. To that end, he has written several gay-themed plays. The most recent, TYING THE KNOT, deals with the issue of same sex marriage benefits and has been given staged readings at political events throughout the state. He lives in Murphysboro with his partner of 15 years.
