  • LEGALSS (Lesbian and Gay Law Students and Supporters) is a student organization at the SIUC School of Law which exists to “further awareness of issues relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals in the law school and legal environments; and to provide support and fellowship among GBLT individuals and supporters.” For additional information contact the advisor, Professor Jill Adams at 618.453-8740 or e-mail jeadams@siu.edu
  • Office of Diversity and Equity (students & employees) located in Davies 157 – telephone number 618. 453-4807 provides workshops and also serves as the center of the university’s Bias Hotline 453-bias (2427) Anyone can report a hate crime or bias incident anonymously or by self identification by calling the hotline or visiting the ODE web site and downloading the form. http://www.siuc.edu/~ode
  • Saluki Rainbow Network (SRN) is one of the oldest continuing GLBT student organizations in the country. Founded in 1971 the group meets weekly in the Student Center to provide activities, resources and support to undergraduate students and all who attend.   • Triangle Coalition is an informal social network for GLBT faculty and staff which includes GAs & TAs. A fall welcoming picnic and on-going social events are the main programs as well as a private e-mail list maintained by the GLBT Resource Center to keep employees informed.   • University Counseling Center (for students) located in the Student Health Center, Room 253 - telephone number 618. 453-5371. Community Resources

  • Rainbow Café is a SAFE SPACE social/support group for high school age gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth in Southern Illinois. They also welcome those youth questioning their orientation and youth members' heterosexual friends. Rainbow Cafe meets every Friday evening from 7 - 10:00 pm. http://www.rainbowcafe.org
