Transfer Information
What opportunities does the program offer the transfer student?
Transfer students who have an approved Associates in Applied Science degree or equivalent certification in an Electronics related field may apply for the Capstone Option. This program gives the student maximum credit for previous academic and work experiences in the student's occupational field, while reducing the number of University Core Curriculum hours from 41 to as few as 30. Students accepted into the Capstone Option can complete the EST degree in as few as 60 additional semester hours.
Program Articulation Agreement
The Bachelor of Science in the Electronic Systems Technologies program has signed a number
of Program Articulation Agreements
with computer/word/information processing-related
community college degree programs in order to facilitate the transfer of community college students
to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. These agreements take full advantage of the Capstone Option for admission to the Bachelor
of Science in Electronic Systems Technologies. Listed below are the colleges and their respective
AAS degree programs which have approved formal articulation agreements and pending agreements
(note date). Pending agreements mean they are in the system and may be approved any day. Please call
the school Director at 618/453-7270 for further information, or e-mail Will Devenport at
