In support of the mission,
goals, and commitments outlined in Southern
at 150: Building Excellence Through Commitment,
Labor and Employee Relations plays a key
role in fostering an atmosphere of collective
and individual responsibility and accountability
for the Carbondale campus.
Our primary service
to the University involves the negotiation
and administration of contracts with represented
Civil Service employees, administration
of the University’s progressive disciplinary
program, as well as handling Civil Service
employee grievances and providing guidance
in the resolution of worksite conflicts.
