SmarTText is a multimedia hypertext authoring system for the Macintosh. It allows you to create short hypertext reading materials with links to text-based information as well at PICT graphics, sounds and QuickTime movies. You can also branch off to other HyperCard stacks or stand-alone applications. It is ideal for generating reading materials for elementary level language, language for specific purposes or less commonly taught languages such as Swahili. The most recent upgrade (13 July) allows you to change fonts. This feature allows you to enter non-Roman fonts such as Cyrillic for Russian. Eine Reklamation is an interactive laserdisc program based on the video by the Goethe Institute. In seven episodes it depicts a business transaction between a German wine importer and a French wine producer. The business deal goes sour and legal measures are threatened. Ideal for advanced level German and business German. The software contains a hypertext version of the dialogs as well as five follow-up exercises for each episode. The entire package consists of a single-sided laserdisc, workbook and software.
