The Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program is a federal program that prepares undergraduates to succeed in doctoral study through engaging them in research and scholarly activities in a supportive and cohesive environment.

The SIUC McNair Scholars Program provides an enriching educational experience for students from underrepresented groups, namely minorities and first generation/low income students, to excel as undergraduates, succeed in graduate school and ultimately enter faculty positions in our nation's colleges and universities. Through a strong mentoring network, the program supports and sponsors educational and professional development activities that lay the foundation for academic success. The program produces highly trained graduates who possess stellar research and academic skills. |
