Professional Auditions
McLeod Summer Playhouse holds auditions in several locations each year. They are listed in chronological order below:
Southern Illinois University Carbondale

When: Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, 9:00 AM registration; 9:30-10:30 dance call (everyone must attend); 10:30-12:30 individual auditions.

Where: SIUC, Altgeld Hall, room 116 (Opera/Music Theater Rehearsal Room)

What to prepare: You will have 90 seconds (timed) to sing a musical theater selection (a selection from one the shows is permitted) and perform a comic monologue.

What to wear: Dance wear for the audition. Body line revealed.

Accompaniment: An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music with piano accompaniment. Music should be presented with star, finish, and cuts clearly marked. No CD accompaniment.

Salary: Ranges from $300-200 a week. Housing available for non-local performers.
