There is another busy week ahead for the Community Service Committee. The Bowl for Kid’s Sake event will be held Saturday evening. There will be two events on Sunday including, Adopt-a-Spot at 1:00 p.m. and the friends of Carbondale book sale from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. We hope to see everyone there!

Community service has been hard at work this past week with several clean-up events. We participated in Beautify Southern Illinois last Saturday and Adopt-a-Spot on Sunday. The Community Service Committee is looking forward to the SIU Headstart Program’s Parent Activity on Friday, March 30th from 5:30-9:00 p.m.

Currently, the community service committee is forging new relationships with local organizations in need of promotional assistance. The Relay for Life Bake Sale was a big success--thanks to all who helped out!

The Community Service Committee is looking forward to a busy spring semester. The committee is involved with several ongoing events such as the Partners in Reading program, the Beautify Southern Illinois program, and will be involved in the Adopt-a-Spot program again this semester. This spring, PRSSA. will be partnering up with the National Communication Association Student Organization for Relay for Life which is to be held in April at McAndrew Stadium.
