This week in the fundraising committee we are in the process of putting together ideas for promoting our next fundraiser, which will be a lemonade stand on April 18th. The lemonade stand will take place in the Faner Breezeway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our yard sale was a huge success that raised over $700.00 for PRSSA.

We’re working on our yard sale which is this weekend. Flyers have been made as well as an ad in the Southern so we are expecting a large crowd. A bake sale will be going on as well.

The fundraising committee is continuing to plan the yard sale, and has asked speech communication professors for donations. Fundraising ideas are also being proposed for the coming year and "Kline's Cleanup Crew" is considering ways to be more successful.

We had a very busy week in fundraising.  We have been talking about a few ideas for some small fundraisers. One idea is a pool tournament at Gatsby’s and the other idea is a Martini social at Southern Illinois Nightclub. These plans are in the early planning stages and we are still attempting to get into contact with the right people.

However, planning for our big fundraising, the Yard Sale, is going great. The sale will occur on March 31 at Kim Kline’s house, 1806 W Freeman St. We have a rain date for the following Saturday morning.  The group is tossing around different flyer ideas and making assignments for that job. We have decided that two flyers will be dispersed about one week apart. One will be a flyer asking for donations and the follow-up flier will advertise the yard sale.

We've decided on two drop-off stations. One at Kroger (located on Giant City Road), on March 25 and the other at the grade school, on March 27. The other main topic of the meeting is that we are considering donating some of our proceeds to a children’s organization or charity. This idea is still being discussed. This is the most current news from the fundraising committee.
