Manuscript Formatting
All submissions should be prepared in accordance with APA-style formatting (American Psychological Association as presented in the Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (2001). Washington: Author). Details regarding formatting can be found at http://www.apastyle.org/faqs.html. A submission should contain one single file either in PDF or Microsoft Word format. No other format will be accepted. All images should be embedded within this single file. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, it will be the author(s) responsibility to provide a Word format of the manuscript text and color .jpg or .tiff files of each figure to the Editor. Submit all manuscripts to the Editor at mdixon@siu.edu.
Review Process
Each and every manuscript submitted to the journal will undergo a two stage review process. The initial review stage will be a brief review regarding acceptability of the manuscript’s content for potential publication in the journal. The initial review will be conducted by either the Editor or Associate Editor and be completed within one week of submission. The secondary review will consist of peer review of the manuscript by members of the journal’s editorial board and guest reviewers. The Editor, Associate Editor, or a guest Action Editor will serve in the capacity of selecting reviewers and making a final editorial recommendation to the Editor. Peer review of the manuscript is targeted for completion within 60 days of submission.
