Specializations: Behavior analysis in autism and other developmental disabilities, functional analysis and treatment of behavior disorders. Dr. April Worsdell is an Assistant Professor in the Behavior Analysis and Therapy Program in the Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Worsdell received her Ph. D. (2002) and M. S. (2000) in Psychology from the University of Florida. While in graduate school, she was the recipient of the Behavior Analysis Outstanding Researcher Award. Dr. Worsdell is a board certified behavior analyst who has served individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospital units, residential facilities, public schools, and vocational workshops. She is actively involved in regional and international behavior analysis organizations and serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavioral Interventions. Her current research interests include the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, as well as the extension of basic behavior analytic principles to applied contexts.
