The 2008 SIU BAT Open House is set for Friday January 25, 2008.

Come see for yourself what sets our program apart.

The Open House differs from a campus "interview" or "interview day." At our open house, come mingle with current students, other applicants, and meet faculty and staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

At our Open House you will get an overview of the BAT Masters and PhD programs, meet all program faculty, tour the SIU campus, visit clinical sites where students do research, see lab facilities, and explore the Carbondale area. See local sites, housing opportunities, and recreational areas that will round out your graduate school experience.

Attendees can often stay with current students during the visit to minimize costs to attend. Space is limited, and reservations are suggested. Contact our student representative Sarah Dunkel at sdunkel@siu.edu as soon as possible to reserve your place.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9-9:30am: Breakfast and Welcome

9:30-10am: Program Overview and Introduction to Rehabilitation Institute

10:00-10:30am: Meet Dr. Tony Cuvo and learn about his research and the SIU Center for Autism

10:30-11:00am: Meet Dr. Brandon Greene and learn about his research and Project 12-Ways

11:00-11:45am: Meet Dr. Mark Dixon and learn about his research and clinical sites on Brain Injury, Elderly, and children with Autism

Noon-1:30pm: Lunch with current students

1:30-2pm: Meet Dr. Ruth Anne Rehfeldt and learn about her research and clinical sites for people with autism, developmental disabilities.

2-2:30pm: Meet Dr. Paula Davis and learn about her research and clinical sites for people with developmental disabilities.

2:30-3:30pm: Tour the SIU campus. See the Autism Center, Project 12 ways, and Center for Comprehensive Services

3:30-5pm: Visit housing options and explore the Carbondale area.
