The tearoom at Anna Union Art Guild has only been open since April of this year, but it is already a success. Hosting the kick off event for the May Barnstorming Tour bought in 75 people to enjoy guest speakers on the cultural heritage of southern Illinois and a live band.

Goddards Clothing Store, Anna, Illinois. Bought by the Goddard family in 1921 and used to sell sweet potatoes until the 1950's when it was turned into a clothing store. Jim and Edna Goddard now run the store which still sells clothes, along with various gift ideas such as home made jams, candy and greeting cards.

This large red barn on the Walton property was built in 1860 by JK Walton. It is now used to store hay and as a shelter for the 100 - 200 sheep kept on the farm. Barb Throgmorton, JK's great grandaughter, now runs the farm with her husband and cousin.

Wing Hill Winery is one of the many wineries in southern Illinois. After completing the barn in May of 1999, the winery officially opened on Valentines Day this year. Scroll over the barn picture to see the gift shop inside. It is filled with local artists work along with locally made candies and other gifts.

This 1870's barn is home to an antique shop and a fully functional smithery. The store offers antique furniture, china, glassware and stained glass products. The smithery is located in the lower part of the barn and shows blacksmithing through the ages, with some tools dating back to the 1860's.

This barn was built in the 1890's and used predominantly for storing loose hay. The barn is now being used as a potting shed and gift shop during the summer and a storage area in the winter months.

This 100 year old barn was once used as a mule barn. Today it has been transformed into a quaint restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop can be seen by scrolling over the barn picture. The restaurant offers freshly prepared cuisine made with home made herbs and spices.

The Eddleman-Kimber Farms are home to these three barns, with construction dates ranging from 1870 to 1918. The Barnstorming visitors rode on wagons to view the barns while they were told about the construction and history behind each one.
